Like almost all in his generation, Hilario Garrudo is a self-taught photographer that began his career circa 1980 interested in three subjects: landscapes, social portraits and scenic arts. Above all he is interested in concerts of many different genres, from Flamenco to Pop, but especially Rock, Blues and Jazz, coinciding with his own music preferences.
All these years he has combined his profession as psychologist with his passion for photography. He has worked in and collaborated with various magazines and newspapers as El Adelantado de Salamanca (the city where he is now based), el Diario Vasco de San Sebastián, World Music and El Tubo de Bilbao.
He has won many prizes and featured many exhibitions in different cities around Spain. Garrudo has been the official photographer for the Jazz Festivals of Granada and San Sebastián and has signed the album cover of Spanish rock bands such as Ilegales and Los Lagartos.
